The Phipps Choral Society, under the direction of Thomas Dahle, will perform Schubert’s Mass in G on PalmSunday, March 25 at 2pm at Bethel Lutheran Church, 920 Third St.  

Schubert’s Mass in G is considered the most lyrical and accessible of his numerous settings of the liturgical text. Professional soloists are Angela Grundstad, soprano; Zachary Colby, tenor; and James Bohn, baritone.  A chamber orchestra will accompany the choir and soloists.

Concertmaster Michal Sobieski will be featured in the ‘Spring’ concerto from Vivaldi’s “The Seasons.”  Other selections include “Agnus Dei,” from Benjamin Britten’s 'War Requiem'; “The Ground,” by Ola Gjeilo; “Laudate Dominum” by Mozart, and “Winter Song” by Paul Halley.
