Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5-18

 Thirty-four years ago my husband Mike and I had the good fortune of acquiring 10 acres of land on one of the highest bluffs on the St. Croix River.  We were awe-struck by its vast beauty. Evening sunsets continue to mesmerize us with the colors of red, purple and orange.    As the seasons change so does the landscape from a sea of blue to a white frozen   tundra.  We watch the birds and animals in their daily life. A soaring bald eagle, osprey, or turkey vulture share the beauty of God’s creation. Deer, coyotes, fox, and turkeys wander through our yard. Watching the flowers bloom in my garden and the leaves spring forth as the warm weather returns. I’m very thankful for all that I witness.

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity of raising and showing the gorgeous Arabian horse. For 20 years Mike and I traveled the US showing these beautiful animals. One can learn so much from watching and listening to the creatures of the Earth.

My life has been blessed with a caring, giving husband, two creative children, and 7 active grandchildren. I’m thankful for the good health we have had for the last 70 years. Thankful for our community, church, its people and pastors. I’m  not saying that my life is and was perfect, but I choose to see the good and beauty in God’s world.

Prayer: May God give me the energy to tackle the task that I need to get done,
May He inspire me to turn up the radio and dance,
May He fill me with joy, that I realize just how rich I really am,
May He connect me with an old friend and bless me with a new friend,
and may he use me in surprising ways to be a blessing to everyone I meet.
