“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” 

Matthew 11:28-30   

After many years of dealing with a child addicted to drugs and alcohol, I decided to give this situation to the Lord.  I told Him that I would except whatever happened with this child.  As we know, God’s timing is not our timing nor are His ways our ways.  I learned to wait and be patient.  It has been almost five years now since the Lord answered my prayer.  My addicted child is now free from the addictions that kept him captive and is now serving the Lord in so many ways. He has a deep love for his Savior.  Our burdens have been lifted and we both have been blessed by God’s love and compassion.

Prayer: Father God, you are so obedient to us, when we are obedient to you.  Thank you, Lord, for unmerited blessings.  In Jesus name we pray…Amen!
