As we head into a new programming year, we want you to know how thankful we are for your continued support of Bethel Lutheran Church. Bethel has a strong history of quality worship, educational ministries, and service to others. We are committed to maintaining the high quality of Bethel’s ministry.
Prior to Pastor Randy’s departure, we sat down with the Executive Committee and the Church Council to devise a plan for the continued functioning of Bethel’s ministry. We are confident that we have the bases covered moving forward. We are aided in this endeavor by a fabulous staff who work hard to provide programming that represents Bethel’s mission. We also have the leadership of the Church Council, which is deeply involved in all that is going on at Bethel and have been great sources of support and vision. We feel very blessed to be serving as your pastors and hope that you will join with us in praying, planning, hoping, and dreaming about Bethel’s future. We also hope you will join with us in helping us to shape that future by volunteering, worshipping, praying, and continuing to remain involved in the life of our community.
Our first event, which will kick-off our fall programming year, is the Great Bethel Get Together on Sunday, September 10th. We will hold one service on this day, at the Highlands Campus at 9:00am. This will be an outdoor service on the lawn, so please bring lawn chairs or blankets. Following the service, we will have a wonderful brunch, celebrating all that we have accomplished this year, and all that is to come. Our celebration will feature a bouncy house, a rock wall, a Bible verse walking path, games, and fellowship, as well as the opportunity to order Bethel apparel. Bring your family and friends to enjoy this fun event!
In the following weeks, worship will continue at our temporary times of 9:00am contemporary worship at Highlands Campus and 10:30am traditional worship downtown. A worship committee will begin to do a deep analysis of what worship times will work best for Bethel going forward. Thank you for your patience as we continue to assess this situation.
We appreciate your ongoing prayers and support for Bethel, our staff, our council, and our people and ministries in the weeks or months that lie ahead of us during this interim phase. We have been richly blessed at Bethel and live in gratitude for all that God has provided.
Psalm 106:1, “Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
