And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” 1 John 4:16

I just recently got confirmed this past October, and something that we really focused on was continuing our faith. 

A few ways that I've been making an effort to focus on this range from listening to Christian  music and hanging out with my Christian friends and family. All of these things have been    helping me to continue my faith and strengthen it by surrounding myself with the things and people that I love. 

I love listening to Christian music when I am running, in the car on the way to school, and driving home from basketball practice at night. My favorite thing about listening to Christian music is that it is uplifting, and brings me closer to God every time I listen. I love listening to Christian music while I am running. One of my favorite songs to listen to on my runs is called, “Weary Traveler” by  Jordan St. Cyr.

A part of the lyrics goes: 

“Weary traveler, restless soul

You were never meant to walk this road alone

It’ll all be worth it so just hold on 

Weary traveler, you won't be weary long”

I love this part of the song because it is saying how no matter what you go through God will help you make it through your worries and obstacles. It constantly helps me feel more motivated and encourages me to keep going.

Another way that I have been continuing my faith is by spending time with my Christian friends. Three of my friends and I went to a For King and Country Christmas concert, and it was such an awesome experience. I was surrounded with many people who had strong faith and were there to worship God. This was amazing because I was able to spend time in God's presence with some of my friends, and experience something new to me. During the concert, there were  multiple instances where they would pause in between songs and share a personal story with all of us. These stories were about their own experiences with God, and the miracles God had blessed them with. The singers were filled with the love of God, and shared their passion and stories with us so we rely on the love God has for us. 

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for blessing us with the faith to rely on the love You have given us. I pray that You teach us how to use simple things in life to show Your love and always hold it within us.
