LENTEN DEVOTIONS 2019

Lenten Devotion day 21 - Tuesday, March 26, 2019

Posted by Garnett Strack on

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were once called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

As I sit here deciding what to write about on the coldest day in 20 or so years, I realized how much the Lord has given me in my life. Not only do I have a warm house, plenty of blankets, and things to stay warm, but I also have a car that can still drive even in this frigid Minnesota weather. I have a school, a house, and a church that all have heat and air conditioning. I have a wonderful amount of family and friends that are all so loving and supportive. I have grown up and been raised with so many things to be thankful for. One of the biggest things that I am thankful for is my church community. There is such a wide range of age groups, and so many opportunities for everybody. Seeing everybody get along, and work together, truly is something special.

Lent is a great time to reflect on all the things the Lord has given us and to be thankful for these things. It gives us a time to connect with God and be personal and open up about things. Being thankful is often something we forget about in life, but it is so important to talk to God and be grateful for the things we have been given.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for all the blessings you have given us in life. May you share these blessings with all those in need and spread your love among all those that are struggling. Please help us to remember to share these blessings and be grateful for the things we have been given. Amen.
